I don’t thank people for their service.


I find it difficult when people thank some vets. When I think of military service, I think about the same things this man speaks about. I don’t want to be a part of this. I feel uncomfortable thanking people for something I never wanted them to do and feel they shouldn’t do. If someone is drafted, that might be a different story and the circumstances are different. In general, I can’t thank someone for something I think the never should have done. I respect the sacrifice that some soldiers have made, but please don’t think you’ve made it for me. WWII was different. There was a serious issue, but there is never a good war.
